The downward trend in home sales continued in Q1 2019, numbers from home builders listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange suggest. It was another consecutive quarter in which they collectively sold fewer homes than in the same period a year earlier. Data on home-loan issuance from BIK are also consistent with a downtrend: the number of loans awarded in January 2019 was 4.6% lower than a year ago, and in February 2019 loans tumbled by 18.4% year-on-year.
