Work on new metro line started in Moscow

Work has started on excavating the tunnels running from the Ramenki metro station to Lomonosovsky Avenue, according to the deputy head of Moscow's construction department, Vladimir Shvetsov. 1.18 km of tunnel will have to be constructed to connect the station to Lomonosovsky Avenue and the work is scheduled for completion in December. The tunnel is part of the overall work of the construction of the construction of the Kalinin-Solntsevskaya line. This new line will be 7.2 km long and will connect Pobeda Park to the Ramenki station. Work on the line, which will connect Moscow's western, southwestern and central areas, is scheduled for completion in 2015.
