Price stabilisation in the construction machinery market in Poland
The growth of prices for mechanised construction works has been low and stable since 2009. In view of the expected slowdown in road projects, there are no signs in the coming months that the sector will experience a marked upturn. In addition, continued intense competition in the construction market and the downward pressure on general contracting costs will be the key barriers preventing prices from growing more rapidly. The years 2007-2008 saw a wide gap between the prices for selected types of work involving the use of construction machinery and the prices of general construction services, but the margin between the two categories substantially narrowed down in 2009 and in the subsequent several months.
