Bulldozer production in Russia tumbled in early 2017

Bulldozer production in Russia has contracted markedly over the past five years. For example production of bulldozers has plummeted over the past two decades. In the early 1990s more than 12,000 bulldozers were assembled in Russia every year, whereas in 2012-2016 the figure came to less than 1,400 every year. Preliminary estimates suggest that only 501 bulldozers were assembled in the country in 2016, a 13% year-on-year reduction and 58% short of the result achieved in 2013 (the last pre-sanction year).
