The Moscow authorities have launched a tender to choose a contractor for the construction of the Balaklavsky Avenue to Kantemirovskaya Street section of the Southern belt road, according to Interfax. The initial maximum contract price is RUB 10.02bn (€250m) and the proposed construction site in the Southern administrative district of Moscow covers the Nagorny, Chertanovo Severnoye, Moskvorechye-Saburovo and Tsaritsyno districts.
The project outlines a three-level road junction being at the intersection with the Varshavskoye motorway. What is more, a tunnel under the railroad with five lanes in each direction is expected to be built at the intersection with the Moscow Railway. A three-lane bridge in each direction across the river Chertanovka is also to be contructed.
The deadline for tender proposals is 18 April and the results will be announced on 25 April 2013.
