First concession road project in Ukraine to be developed

A project to build Ukraine’s first concession motorway is currently being developed as part of a national programme, according to InvestUkraine – a department in the State Agency for Investment and National Projects in Ukraine.

According to the source's representative, Ukraine has a very good chance of building a motorway without relying on the estate budget for the first time. A new bridge across the Dnieper river and an 18 km-long stretch of motorway are planned to be built as part of this project. The feasibility study expected by September is to be followed by an international investment tender for the world’s leading consultancies to attract concessionaires.
