40% growth in railway construction in Poland 2014

Railway construction has been one of the fastest-growing segments of the construction industry in the past decade. The 2014 projected output from railway construction represents a nearly five-fold jump over the 2004 output. This development results from years of neglect and the marked investment acceleration seen in the past several years.
Fast-paced construction work in the railway sector is co-financed by the EU, which can provide up to 85% of qualified costs. The additional funding is used to finance the construction of new lines as well as upgrades and renewals of existing railway networks.
