Slovak residential construction market to grow 7% in 2014

After a major drop in residential construction in 2012, 2013 saw significant improvement in this sector. Several major residences were finalised in Slovakia, the biggest, however, were still massed in the Bratislava market. One of the first completions in 2013 was Bratislava's Panorama complex in January. Later openings were Rinzle, Petrzalka City and Rozalka Village.
2013 saw the launch of an increasing number of construction projects in the residential market and the continuation of pre-existing projects. A number of them are expected to be completed in 2014. Unlike in previous years when delays in residential construction projects were usual, the market noticed in 2013 a certain improvement in this respect. Although some projects continue to be completed with delays, increasingly developers are sticking to deadlines and time frames. Most of the residential projects under development are still in Bratislava, but other cities in the regions are also experiencing growing activity in residential construction.
