Will PKP PLK spend EU funds in full?

Even though the EC refused to agree for the shift of funds from railways to roads, there is hope that the other decisions passed by the EC will help Poland use the full amount of the allocated funding. It was already in 2012 that PLK obtained approval for spending funds for less complex projects defined as renewals, which can take less time to complete and involve less preparation and red tape. As a result, several contracts totalling several hundred million zloty were carried out. And not only will they be partly refunded, but they will also ensure temporary improvement to the condition of the infrastructure, mostly locally.
