Moderate price increases on the HVAC market in Poland

Increases in steel, fuel and electricity prices, combined with the improved growth in the building construction segment, have ended three-year correction in prices of HVAC materials and works, which commenced to slowly climb in 2011. The upward price movement is expected to gain momentum in the coming months. However, continued intense competition existing in the construction market and downward pressure on general contracting costs will be the key barriers preventing the prices of the materials from growing more rapidly.
The years 2008-2010 saw a wide gap between the prices for selected types of work in the HVAC industry and the prices of general construction services, but the margin between the two categories has substantially narrowed down since 2011. In November 2011, the growth rates for the two categories stood at around 1.7% year on year.
