Central European residential construction to stabilise in 2012-2014

In 2011, the residential market in Central Europe fell to levels not seen since the beginning of the residential boom in the region. The situation is expected to improve slightly in the coming years. However, record results will not be reached soon.
According to our latest report entitled “Residential construction market in Central Europe – Development forecasts for 2012-2014”, in 2011 the total number of homes completed in the six countries of the region was 242,205, nearly one third lower compared to residential construction’s peak years. The forecasts for 2012-2014 assume the region will recover slightly, although the results recorded in the peak period will not be reached in the coming years.
