Kazakh civil engineering construction to revive in late 2012

Civil engineering construction output is expected to present a healthy result in 2012 despite a small contraction during the first eight months. Government programs and private investments in infrastructure development and expansion will continue to drive civil engineering construction activities.
The civil engineering in Kazakhstan continues to drive the construction industry of the country in 2012. Between January and August, the civil engineering accounted for 42% of the total construction output and was worth KZT 524bn ($3.5bn). The activities were primarily comprised of engineering works on pipelines including water supply & sanitation (38%), road transport (36%), power & communication (10%) and railway transport infrastructure (8%).
