Slovenian construction market to stabilise at €1.5bn in 2013

After the weak period between 2009 and 2012, the Slovenian construction market will stabilise in 2013. Since late 2010 a modest positive trend has lifted Slovenian construction business confidence and this has continued into early 2013. Confidence is still negative but there are signs of improvement and this is a cause for optimism for 2013-2015.
According to our latest report, “Construction sector in Slovenia 2013 – Development forecasts for 2013-2015”, after an average 17% drop per year in the period 2009-2011, the market also fell in 2012, by approximately 13%, to slightly more than €1.5bn. Latest development forecasts for the Slovenian construction market remain quite unclear. There are positive signs for some segments while others are still a cause for concern. For 2013 we expect the market to stabilise at the 2012 level.
