Substantial increase in the area of retail and service buildings planned in Q1 2015 in Poland
Declines in the number of building permits in the last several years led to a slight drop in construction and assembly output in the segment of retail and service buildings already in 2014. As a result, Q1 2015 saw a greater decrease of nearly 17%. This, however, was mostly due to a high comparison base, so declines in the coming quarters are expected to be less severe. Notwithstanding that, it is highly likely that the retail and service construction segment will see a fall for the second year in a row. Yet, improvement can come already in 2016, as suggested by the optimistic data on building permits.
