Close to PLN 3.9bn in EU funding for A1 and A2 construction projects

The construction of two sections of the A1 and A2 motorways will be supported with EU funding totalling around PLN 3.9bn (€989.7m). Overall, the planned investments will require outlays of nearly PLN 6.6bn (€169.2m), according to PAP.
The undertakings concern the construction of the Minsk Mazowiecki bypass along the A2 motorway and the Torun-Strykow section of the A2 motorway. The estimated value of the first investment will exceed PLN 765m (€196.1m), PLN 602m (€154.3m) of which will be provided by the EU. The second project will require approximate expenditure of PLN 5.8bn (€1.4bn), with the EU subsidy in this case amounting to almost PLN 3.3bn (€846.1m).
