Bioethanol production plant in Dunafoldvar to cost HUF 25bn

Pannonia Ethanol has begun the construction of Hungary's largest bioethanol production plant in Dunafoldvar.
As
Central Europe Construction Review reported on a previous occasion, the facility will process 500,000 tonnes of maize to produce 200 million litres of bioethanol fuel per annum.
The project is a joint cooperation, funded by the Irish concern
Ethanol Europe, the subsidiary of which is Pannonia Ethanol, and the American company
Fagen.
The cost will be HUF 25bn (€89m). The undertaking is due to be completed by the end of 2011 and, once completed, it will provide 77 jobs directly and around 600 indirectly.
