34% less completed industrial space in H1 2010

The total area of the leased industrial space in H1 2010 in Romania grew by 350% compared to the same period last year to 63,100 m², according to data from CB Richard Ellis Eurisko. The delivered projects during the first half of this year, in turn, totalled some 46,500 m², which was 34% less than in H1 2009. In the first half of last year over 70,000 m² of new industrial space was delivered. In mid-2010, the modern industrial space stock in Romania reached 1.3 million m². Some 70% of the industrial space in the country is in the Bucharest area. The vacancy rate now on the Romanian industrial space market is about 14% in Bucharest and over 16% outside of Bucharest.
