Tender for documentation for construction of R7 Bratislava-Dunajska Luzna cancelled
2010-08-30
The National Motorway Company (NDS) cancelled the public tender for the selection of the company in charge of the documentation for the construction of the 7-km expressway section R7 linking Bratislava and Dunajska Luzna. The cancellation of the tender two months after its announcement was prompted by the change of the circumstances in which the tender was launched, according to NDS representatives cited by SITA.
It is not clear when a new tender will be announced and how this delay will affect the planned works on the R7 expressway. The NDS expects the construction of the expressway R7 Bratislava-Dunajska Luzna to start in December 2012 and to be finalised in October 2015.
The project is an investment of €56.2m net at the level of 2009 prices. The planned expressway R7 from Bratislava to Lucence is envisaged to have a total of 212 km and to be built in six phases by 2020. The total cost of the entire project is estimated to reach €2.5bn at the level of 2009 prices.
