NDS kicks off preparations for R2 expressway construction

The National Motorway Company (NDS), as a first step in the project of the construction of the expressway R2 Kosice Saca – Kosice Olsany, plans to launch a tender to select the provider of the documentation for the urban permit for this project. The project consists of 21.5 km of expressway.
The tender initially was planned for December 2010, but the NDS decided to announce it earlier than planned. The construction of the R2 expressway linking Kosice Saca with Kosice Olsany is expected to begin in September 2014 and to be completed by August 2017. The cost of the project is put by the NDS at some €228.1m, excluding taxes, at the level of 2009 prices.
