Gips AD, a manufacturer of cement- and plaster-based building materials, began the construction of a BGN 11.3m (€5.78m) new factory, Monitor announced. The project is co-financed by the European Union Competition Development Fund. The capacity of the new facility is to process 60,000 tonnes of natural gypsum per year. Construction is to be completed within 15 months.
