Trimp Holding to build HUF 10.5bn underwater hotel in Kiskunhalas

Trimp Holding plans to invest HUF 10.5bn (€37.2m) in the construction of a four-storey, 13,500 m² underwater luxury hotel which will be built on a 6 acre site in Kiskunhalas and will be able to accommodate 350 guests.
According to preliminary plans, three of the four storeys will be underwater, in an 11.5 m deep pool decorated with marine trappings and will operate by means of environmentally-friendly renewable energy resources.
Trimp expects to receive its permits by October 2010, and if the weather conditions are congenial, excavation should begin shortly afterwards. The undertaking is expected to be completed in September 2013 and to provide at least 110 new jobs.
