Lasselsberger expecting increase in sales revenues this year

Lasselsberger, an Austrian producer of ceramic tiles and the owner of the Cesarom brand on the Romanian market, registered sales worth €15.4m in H1 2010, which represents 40% of its expected turnover for 2010. Last year, the company turned over €35m, a 15.2% reduction in comparison with 2008. In 2010, the manufacturer expects turnover of €38.5m, i.e. 10% more than the 2009 figure.
In the first four months of the year, the factory owned by Lasselsberger in Cluj-Napoca produced 48% more ceramic tiles than during the equivalent period of 2009. For 2010, the company plans to export output worth €2m, which would be 5% of its expected turnover.
Lasselsberger Romania estimates that the ceramic tiles market will contract by 10% in 2010, a reduction in comparison with the €110m (in terms of value) and 25 million m² (in terms of volume) registered last year.
