2010-03-09
The
Slovak logistics and warehouse construction market stagnated in the last quarter of 2009, according to CB Richard Ellis (CBRE). During this period, there was not a single warehouse or logistics project delivered or planned in the country. The stock of logistics and warehouse space in Slovakia reached over 1 million m² in 2009, whereas the vacancy rate was 7% in the Bratislava area, which contains approximately 87% of all warehouse space in Slovakia.
The total area of new logistics and warehouse space delivered in the country in 2009 was about 100,000 m², a 62% reduction in comparison with 2008. CBRE predicts that no logistics projects will be launched in 2010 either.
