Reduction in number of residential building permits in Romania

In December 2009, the number of building permits for residential construction was 3,509, with 67.2% of them covering rural areas, according to the National Institute of Statistics.
During 2009 as a whole, the number of residential building permits fell by 20.1% in comparison with the previous year to 48,833.
