Leier Hungaria sees steady increase in revenues
2012-01-20
Leier Hungaria, involved in the building material manufacturing industry, generated revenues of HUF 17bn (€55m) in 2011. The result is HUF 1bn (€3.2m) more than the company had projected for the year, and also HUF 1.5bn (€4.9m) more than 2010 revenues, which indicates a steady increase during the past several years. The increase in revenues was a result of higher volume of exports, in particular to Austria, Romania and Slovakia.
Rising costs were transferred to prices, which the company raised by an average of 5% in 2011 – a tendency which Leier Hungaria will continue, according to its director Andor Komlos. The company had after-tax profit of HUF 400m (€1.3m) in 2010 and expects a positive result in 2011 as well, though no official figure have yet been published.
Leier Hungaria employs around 750 people and is headquartered in Gyor. It operates nine manufacturing plants in Hungary, the majority of which are located in northwestern Hungary. At its factories, the company manufactures a variety of building materials, including bricks, concrete blocks, various finished elements, tiles and concrete shingles.
