Deadline in tender for Hubova-Ivachnova section of D1 motorway extended
2012-01-20
The deadline for the submission of bids in the tender for the construction of the 15 km section of the D1 motorway between Hubova and Ivachnova pri Ruzomberku has been moved by a month to 16 February 2012, according to the Slovak National Motorway Company (NDS). The NDS had, originally, wanted to open the bidding on 16 January 2012, but the Office for Public Procurement (UVO) in Slovakia ordered it not to do so before the office had weighed complaints from participants in the tender about the conditions of the contest.
NDS launched the public tender for this order in October 2011, estimating the cost of the construction work to be €465.7m, without VAT. The project includes the construction of a 2 km tunnel in Cebrad. The overall construction project is expected to last for more than three years.
